On Friday, April 25, an 18-year-old girl from Iasi died after she fell into Lake Frumoasa, scared by a bear. The incident happened around 18:00, when authorities were alerted to the presence of a body floating in the lake. The young woman was in a wooded area with a group of people and, in panic, tried to flee from the bear, falling from a height into the water. Doctors performed resuscitation maneuvers, but without success. Harghita police have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy and issued warnings to tourists about bear encounters.
