INHGA has issued a yellow flood warning for rivers in counties from the south and southeast of the country, valid until Wednesday.

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued a yellow flood warning on Tuesday, targeting rivers in the following counties: Mehedinți, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Argeș, Constanța, and Tulcea.

The warning is valid until Wednesday, February 18, at 14:00. During this period, significant runoff is expected on slopes, torrents, and streams, as well as rapid floods, with risks of local flooding and increases in water flow and levels, with the probability of exceeding Attention Levels. INHGA recommends that the population in the affected areas avoid traveling near watercourses, not to cross flooded areas, and to take preventive measures to protect their property. It is also important to follow the instructions of local authorities and emergency management structures.
