The hydrologists have issued a yellow flood warning, valid until Thursday, in the counties of Caraș-Severin, Timiș, Olt, Teleorman, Argeș, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, and Ilfov.

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) has updated the yellow flood warning, which is in effect until Thursday afternoon, for river sectors in the counties of Caraș-Severin, Timiș, Olt, Teleorman, Argeș, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, and Ilfov.

The warning was issued following weather forecasts and the current hydrometeorological situation, taking into account the anticipated precipitation and the melting of snow.

During this period, significant runoff is expected on slopes, torrents, and streams, with risks of local flooding and increases in flows and levels, including exceeding alert thresholds.

Authorities recommend that the population be cautious, avoid traveling near watercourses, and not cross flooded areas.
