The hydrologists have issued a yellow flood warning for the counties of Gorj, Vâlcea, Argeș, Dâmbovița, Prahova, Ilfov, Ialomița, Brașov, Covasna, Buzău, and Sibiu, valid until Friday afternoon.

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) has issued a yellow flood alert, valid from Thursday, 12:00 PM, until Friday, at the same hour, for certain river sectors in the counties of Gorj, Vâlcea, Argeș, Dâmbovița, Prahova, Ilfov, Ialomița, Brașov, Covasna, Buzău, and Sibiu. This warning is based on the weather forecast and the current hydrometeorological situation, indicating possible exceedances of alert levels.

The targeted phenomena include significant runoff on slopes, torrents, and streams, as well as rapid flows in small rivers, with risks of local flooding, especially in the counties of Argeș, Dâmbovița, and Prahova. INHGA recommends that the population exercise caution, avoid crossing watercourses, and take preventive measures to protect their homes.
