A woman from Piatra-Neamț, reported missing in 2009, has been recently identified by border police in Timișoara, after returning to Romania from Italy, where she had settled permanently.
Her return triggered an alert in the Police systems, as she continued to be listed as a missing person. The disappearance was reported in 2009, when her daughter was only 14 years old, and since then, the investigation has remained open, with checks carried out both in Romania and in other European countries.
