Woman attacked by a jackal in Vaslui, locals demand intervention from the authorities

On Monday morning, a 41-year-old woman was attacked by a jackal on the street of the village of Oltenești in Vaslui County.

The incident occurred in front of her house, and locals quickly intervened to save her, driving away the aggressive animal. An ambulance from the Vaslui County Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene, providing first aid. The victim, conscious and coherent, suffered bites to her hand and wounds in the abdominal area, and was later transported to Huși Municipal Hospital for further investigations.

Following the incident, locals expressed their concerns and called on the authorities to intervene to remove dangerous animals from the vicinity of the village, fearing to leave their homes.
