Wizz Air has announced the expansion of its base in Timișoara with 20 new routes and an increase in frequency on three existing routes.

Wizz Air has added 20 routes from Timișoara to new countries, including Larnaca, Nuremberg, and Naples, and will increase the frequency of existing flights to Bari, Baden-Baden, and Dortmund. At the same time, Wizz Air is reducing operations in Abu Dhabi, maintaining between 150 and 200 employees, while focusing on the Central and Eastern European market. The company is facing cost-related challenges and engine maintenance issues, but expects an improvement in the situation by 2027.
