Meteorologists from ANM forecast four weeks with temperatures generally above normal values, especially in the western and central regions of the country.
In the first week, between August 10 and 17, 2026, temperatures will be higher in the west and center, but lower in the southeast, and precipitation will be deficient, especially in mountainous areas. In the week of August 17-24, higher temperatures will persist in the west and center, with deficient precipitation in mountainous areas. Between August 24 and 31, temperatures will remain high in the western, northern, and central regions, while precipitation will be close to normal.
In the last week, from August 31 to September 7, temperatures will be slightly above normal in the intracarpathian regions, and precipitation will generally be normal.
According to ANM, the meteorological estimates for four weeks are made by ECMWF - the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.
