1,582 municipalities from Romania are participating on Tuesday in a warning strike, generated by dissatisfaction related to the public administration reform proposed by the Government.
Emil Drăghici, the president of the Association of Municipalities in Romania, announced the protest, which will take place between 10:00 and 12:00, alongside the General Assembly of ACoR, which will also be attended by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The FORUM union from Public Administration emphasized that there is a revolt among mayors due to the reform plan. Prime Minister Bolojan will discuss with dissatisfied mayors during the debate on administrative reform. Additionally, ACoR has decided to notify the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe regarding the reform in question.
