Vlad Pascu has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the May 2 accident in which two teenagers were killed and others injured. The parents of the victims criticized the trial and expressed their dissatisfaction with the sentence as too low. The father of one of the victims said he expected Pascu to go free in a few years, despite the seriousness of his crime. The accident was caused by driving under the influence of drugs and Pascu fled the scene, where he was later found by police.
