Vlad Pascu, the driver who caused a serious accident in the 2 Mai area in August 2023, resulting in the death of two students and the injury of three other people, is definitively sentenced to 10 years in prison for multiple traffic offenses, including manslaughter.

On December 16, 2025, the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) was to judge the appeal in cassation filed by his lawyers. Through this extraordinary means of appeal, he is requesting a reduction of the 10-year sentence.

The defense argues that Pascu should benefit from a sentence reduction, arguing among other things that he reported the drug supplier from whom he procured the substances.

The ICCJ's decision on this appeal will be final, without any other ordinary means of appeal.
