In an interview, Viorel Cataramă said he has offered bribes throughout his life, but not as a protection fee, but because he wanted to. His confessions come after the resignation of Dragoș Anastasiu, implicated in a corruption scandal linked to ANAF. Cataramă said he had never paid protection fees and admitted that although he gave bribes, he did not perceive it as such, but considered it part of his business culture.
