Two people suffered burns following a fire in the commune of Scorțeni, Prahova, and firefighters continue to intervene to extinguish the fire.

On Saturday morning, a violent fire broke out in the commune of Scorbeni, in the village of Bordenii Mari, affecting several residential buildings and outbuildings. According to the Prahova Emergency Situations Inspectorate, the fire was spreading over an area of approximately 150 square meters upon the arrival of the firefighting crews.


A 62-year-old woman suffered first-degree burns on her hands but refused to be transported to the hospital. A 67-year-old man suffered first and second-degree burns on 10% of his body and was transported to the hospital for medical care. Firefighters continue to work to extinguish the hotspots and will investigate the cause of the fire.
