Illegal intrusion and violence at the Iași Regional Railway Branch

A violent incident occurred at the Iași Regional Railway Branch, where a train dispatcher was attacked in her own office by a person from outside the company.

The assailant illegally entered the Dispatch Office, a restricted area, and struck the employee in the head with the telephone receiver, also damaging work equipment. Although the employee did not require emergency medical care, she was replaced on her shift and received medical treatment afterward.

The authorities were notified, and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the assault, which meets the elements of the crime of violating a professional premises. The management of SRCF Iași reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards violence and promised support for the assaulted employee, cooperating with investigative bodies to ensure the assailant's accountability. The safety of the staff remains a priority.
