A 45-year-old man, a Vietnamese citizen, attempted to illegally introduce 700 packs of cigarettes into Romania through the Henri Coandă International Airport Border Crossing Point. He arrived on a flight from Vietnam and, after completing the border formalities and collecting his luggage, headed towards the exit in the green corridor, designated for individuals without goods to declare.

Customs authorities later discovered the 700 packs of cigarettes hidden in boxes of sweets and electronics, which led to the man's detention. The Border Police continues investigations to determine the extent of the drug trafficking network involved in this case.
