Former Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced that he is willing to collaborate with journalists from Recorder, offering them documents to assist in investigating how the DNA, under the leadership of Laura Codruța Kovesi, investigated him and his family. Ponta emphasized that he possesses detailed information about abuses in the justice system, including the case of his brother-in-law, who was placed in preventive detention in 2015, and about the delay in resolving his criminal case, in which he was acquitted after a long waiting period. He criticized the justice system for the protection granted to prosecutors who committed abuses and called for an investigation to bring serious issues in the justice system to public attention. Ponta expressed his willingness to collaborate with Recorder, but mentioned that if they are not interested, he will hire a team of journalists to create similar material.
