Students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Iasi have complained against a lecturer for using a jamming device that blocked phone signals during exams. One student reported that he was unable to contact the ambulance for his seriously ill mother. The National Authority for Communications Administration and Regulation (ANCOM) intervened and discovered that the teacher was also using the device during other exams. She left the building after the incident and is charged with illegal use of the jamming equipment.
