Firefighters in the counties of Maramureș and Satu Mare are facing strong vegetation fires, affecting dozens of hectares of land. In Maramureș, a fire has engulfed approximately 20 hectares of a forest, and the intervention is complicated by the difficult terrain, which has led authorities to send two Black Hawk helicopters for air support. In Satu Mare, the fire in the locality of Racșa affects approximately 10 hectares of dry vegetation, being fragmented into several hotspots. The intervention here is supported by seven fire trucks, but it is hindered by the difficult conditions. Authorities warn that the risk of fire spread is high and recommend that citizens avoid using open flames for land cleaning to prevent large-scale fires. Interventions are ongoing, and response forces may be supplemented depending on the evolution of the situation.
