Four sites in Romania, including Peles and Pelesor Castles, have been inscribed on the country's UNESCO World Heritage List.

Among the listed sites are the Peles and Pelisor Castles, the Church of the Three Hierarchs in Iasi, the Episcopal Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary of the Argeș Monastery in Curtea de Argeș and the Movile Cave. Romania is also preparing the transnational nomination file for the Frontiers of the Roman Empire - the Danube Boundary.
