The border police in Botoșani recovered a 41-year-old man from Ukraine, who illegally crossed the border through the Prut River. Found in the Teioasa neighborhood, he was in a state of hypothermic shock, exhausted from the severe winter conditions. Representatives of the Botoșani Border Police Territorial Service intervened quickly, providing first aid and maintaining his vital signs until the medical team arrived. The man was later taken by an ambulance for further care. Following the assessment of the situation, it was decided that he would not be extradited, but rather transferred to the Regional Center for Asylum Seekers Procedures and Accommodation in Rădăuți.
