Two boys aged 16 and 17 have been placed in preventive detention for robbing a 77-year-old woman in Timișoara, an incident captured on surveillance cameras.

Two teenagers, one 16 years old and the other 17 years old, were placed in preventive custody in Timișoara after they robbed a 77-year-old woman in the stairwell of the building where she lived. The incident took place on November 3, when the young men assaulted the victim and snatched her handbag, which contained money, documents, and personal belongings.

The act was captured by surveillance cameras. The police were notified by the victim, and following investigations, the two young men were identified and detained for 24 hours, being accused of aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery. They are to be presented to the magistrates for a preventive measure. The police continue the investigations under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Timișoara Court to document the entire criminal activity of the young men.
