In Prahova County, two elderly people were hospitalized due to hypothermia. An 87-year-old woman from Ploiești was taken in with an alarming body temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius. Additionally, a 69-year-old man from the commune of Măneciu, who had suffered a stroke, entered mild hypothermia upon the arrival of the medical team.

Representatives of the Prahova County Ambulance Service mentioned that such cases are not isolated. To prevent hypothermia among homeless individuals, the SAJ teams conduct patrols in public areas, picking up homeless people and taking them to shelters. Over the weekend, six homeless individuals were transported to a day center in Ploiești.
