Two Moldovan citizens, a father and son, residing in Oradea, have been sent to trial by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bihor Tribunal for fraud with particularly serious consequences.

Between 2022 and 2023, they allegedly purchased wheat and corn from Ukraine from companies in Slovakia and Lithuania, reselling them in Romania without fully paying for them. The total damage amounts to nearly 900,000 euros. The administrator of the company made partial payments to suppliers, keeping them in error by sending false documents suggesting that the debts had been settled.

Despite the assurances given, the amounts were not transferred, and the debts remained unpaid. The Prosecutor's Office has proposed maintaining the preventive measure of judicial control for the two defendants.
