Two minors from Arad are being investigated by prosecutors for vandalizing graves in the Jewish Cemetery, where they spray-painted Nazi and fascist symbols. They are accused of destruction, desecration of graves, and public use of prohibited symbols. The incident occurred in the spring when the teenagers broke a window of an annex and used red paint to mark five tombstones with symbols such as 'Celtic Cross' and 'swastika'.

The Jewish community in Arad has reacted, emphasizing that such acts represent an anti-Semitic threat, in the context of a rise in anti-Semitism globally. A possible connection of the minors to an extremist organization is also being investigated.
