Two nine-year-old boys were hit by a ski-jet while bathing in the Danube, in the Gostinu beach area in Giurgiu. The vehicle was driven by a man under the influence of alcohol

The incident took place on Saturday on the Danube river when a 34-year-old man from Bucharest, under the influence of alcohol, hit two nine-year-old children who were bathing. Police were alerted via 112 and the victims were taken to hospital. The man was tested with a breathalyzer and found to have a concentration of 0.43 mg/l of pure alcohol in his breath. Investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
