CFR announces the temporary suspension of train services between Merișor – Crivadia and Toplița – Răstolița due to fallen trees on the railway lines.

CFR has informed that train traffic is temporarily halted between the Merișor – Crivadia stations in Hunedoara and Toplița – Răstolița in the Harghita and Mureș counties, due to fallen trees on the railway lines. The intervention teams of SRCF Timișoara and Brașov are working to remove the trees and replace the contact wires affected by the strong winds.


The IR 1836, IR 1646, and R 10736 trains are temporarily stopped in stations until the work is completed. Additionally, on the CF Ilva Mica – Lunca Ilvei – Coșna section, trains are operating with a speed restriction of 50 km/h due to gusts of wind. CFR ensures that the railway staff is making every effort to resolve the issues and resume traffic in safe conditions.
