An accident in the Michelangelo Passage in Timișoara led to the death of a 21-year-old driver and the serious injury of his friend.

A serious road accident occurred on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Michelangelo Passage in Timișoara, where a 21-year-old driver died after violently crashing into a van. The impact was so strong that the young man was thrown from his car onto the roadway. Doctors who arrived at the scene could not save his life, while his friend, a 20-year-old young man, was seriously injured and remained trapped in the wrecked car. Rescue teams managed to extract him and transport him to the hospital. The accident was reported via 112, and the intervention involved several fire crews and ambulances. The police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident, and the van driver did not require medical attention. A criminal case has been filed for manslaughter and bodily harm due to negligence.
