The Timiș County is facing a significant decrease in the number of students completing middle school, which has led the School Inspectorate to reduce over 20 ninth-grade classes for the next school year. The general school inspector, Aura Danielescu, explained that the decision was made following a detailed analysis of the actual number of students, emphasizing that without eighth-grade students, ninth-grade classes cannot be formed.

Although school principals did not propose a schooling plan adapted to this reality, the Inspectorate decided to reduce the number of classes. This reduction will have a significant impact on teaching staff, with estimated losses of approximately 35 teaching positions in the county. The decision is set to be analyzed and approved by the Board of Administration.
