The accountant of six schools in Timis has admitted to embezzling large sums of money, transferring it to her personal accounts by falsifying accounting documents. Between March 2019 and February 2024, she illegally raised around 2 million lei, including amounts for salaries and scholarships. She was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months suspended imprisonment, with an obligation to attend a social reintegration program and community service. The seizure of assets to recover the damages is maintained.
