TikTok representatives claim that the platform failed to recognize Călin Georgescu as a politician and presidential candidate, even though he was officially registered in the race.

The Chinese also claim to have blocked more than 4.5 million fake likes and 1.5 million inauthentic tracking requests. They also suspended 33,000 spam accounts in Romania and nearly 100,000 fake accounts.
