Ticket scam at UNTOLD: A person from Cluj was detained by the police

An individual from Cluj, aged 30, was arrested by the police for fraud after deceiving dozens of people who wanted to buy tickets for the UNTOLD festival. The investigation was initiated by the Cluj County Police following numerous reports describing the same modus operandi.

Between the beginning of 2026 and August 7, the suspect promised tickets to the festival, asking for money in advance but failing to deliver the tickets. In total, 30 people fell victim to this scam, not receiving the tickets and unable to recover their money. On August 8, police conducted a search at the suspect's home, where they found storage media and other items relevant to the investigation. The man was arrested for further investigation.
