Three drug trafficking suspects, arrested after a chase with gunfire near Bucharest

Three men suspected of drug trafficking have been placed in preventive custody for 30 days, following an operation conducted near Bucharest. One of them, the son of a former MAI officer, was caught in the locality of Gruiu, where he attempted to flee and hit two police vehicles, injuring two officers, before being stopped with gunfire.

Four kilograms of cocaine and eight kilograms of hashish were found in his car. Investigators say that the group was bringing drugs from Spain for the black market, and following a new search, other banned substances, money, and relevant documents were discovered.
