Three minors from Calopăr commune, Dolj county, have been sanctioned by police after they initiated a false 112 call claiming to have been kidnapped. The call was made by a 13-year-old girl who wanted to play a prank after they had stolen a neighbor's phone. Their parents were fined 500 lei each and police stressed the importance of using the emergency service responsibly, warning of the legal consequences of false calls.
