A bomb threat received via email led to the evacuation of 50 people from the Pleiada hotel in Iași. The intervention of law enforcement confirmed that the threat was false.

On Thursday, the Pleiada hotel in Iași was the scene of a massive intervention by law enforcement after receiving a bomb threat via email. The message, received around 11:00 AM, claimed that an improvised explosive device was active and would be detonated, causing panic and requiring the complete evacuation of guests and staff.

Approximately 50 people were evacuated, and the area was secured by police officers, gendarmes, and a counter-terrorism team. After checks, it was confirmed that the threat was false, and authorities continue the search for the identification of the message sender. The IPJ Iași announced that investigations are ongoing to take the necessary legal measures.
