The interim mayor of the Capital, Stelian Bujduveanu, declared on Friday that the works on tram line 5 have resumed, and the execution rate has reached 96%. The infrastructure is nearly completed, and currently, work is being done on the platforms and the construction of new shelters for passengers.


Bujduveanu mentioned that after the completion of these works and the placement of the shelters on site, traffic on line 5 will be able to resume. Additionally, the first shelter has already been installed in the Băneasa Passage area. Line 5 is being rehabilitated over a length of approximately 4.3 km, on Barbu Văcărescu Street and Captain Av. Alexandru Șerbănescu Street, from Șoseaua Ștefan cel Mare to the Băneasa Passage.
