The trade unionists from Apele Române announced, through a press release, the organization of protest actions in the context of a labor conflict.

Between May 4-8, 2026, there will be pickets at all workplaces in Romania, lasting for two hours, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Additionally, on May 14, 2026, a protest rally will be organized in Bucharest, at the headquarters of the National Administration Apele Române and the Ministry of Environment, with the support of the National Trade Union Bloc.

The union will send signature tables to support these actions, including for a possible strike. The reasons for the protests include the destruction of structures within Apele Române and the humiliation of employees, actions that, according to the trade unionists, endanger the lives and property of citizens. They emphasize that, despite previous complaints, the decision-makers have not reacted, which is why they decided to take action through legal protests.
