The mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, boasts about the USR initiatives for cleanliness in politics, but the city is facing serious hygiene problems. The National Environmental Guard conducted an inspection at the site of the new stadium in Timișoara, following complaints from citizens regarding the improper storage of waste. The responsible economic operator was fined 50,000 lei after serious irregularities were found, including the storage of approximately 718.7 tons of waste directly on the ground. Authorities emphasized that previous measures have only been partially fulfilled, and the risks of environmental contamination remain high. The National Environmental Guard will continue to monitor the situation, imposing strict deadlines for the proper management of waste and the reduction of stockpiles.
