The S.O.S. Romania party, led by Diana Șoșoacă, launched a vehement attack against the leader of AUR, George Simion, after he cut a cake representing Greenland, decorated with the American flag, at an event in the United States. The party considers the gesture to be 'shameful and irresponsible', arguing that it affects Romania's image and respect for the sovereignty of states.

In a press release, S.O.S. Romania states that the action goes beyond political humor and denotes a serious geopolitical irresponsibility. The party emphasizes that a Romanian parliamentarian should not participate in actions that can be interpreted as foreign propaganda, thus compromising Romania's position on the international stage. In conclusion, S.O.S. Romania calls for a public distancing from such behaviors, reaffirming that Romania is not for sale and will not accept politicians who confuse foreign policy with media circus.
