During the debates, the sovereigntists brought bananas with pink ribbons, symbolizing USR, while senator Ninel Peia attempted to expel the present deputies. Minister Oana Țoiu was not present, being on a work visit to London.

The Government's position was supported by the Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan criticized the signatories of the motion for spreading distrust.
