The Romanian Patriarchate has issued a public appeal for prayer and responsibility, considering the escalation of the military conflict in the Middle East and marking four years since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The institution emphasizes the seriousness of the international situation, highlighting the need to find quick solutions for restoring peace and good relations between peoples.

In the official statement, the devastating effects of wars are mentioned, including the increase in the number of civilian casualties, the amplification of violence, and the expansion of poverty. The Patriarchate quotes the exhortation of Saint Apostle Paul, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and communion among people. It also calls on the faithful to pray for Romanians in conflict zones, asking for protection and their safe return home.
