The Ministry of National Defense has decided to evacuate military equipment from the Plauru – Ceatalchioi area, near the port of Ismail, where a vessel loaded with LPG is on fire, posing the risk of an explosion. The evacuation will also include the population and animals in the area, and the military equipment will be relocated under safe conditions, without affecting the capacity to monitor the situation at the border. The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the protection of citizens is a priority, in accordance with operational procedures. The head of the DSU, Raed Arafat, warned that an explosion of the vessel could have devastating effects over a radius of nearly 5 kilometers.
