The Romanian Police will mobilize over 24,000 police officers, gendarmes, firefighters, and border police during the Catholic Easter and Orthodox Palm Sunday celebrations to ensure the safety of citizens. The action will include the use of over 450 radar devices and tools for detecting alcohol consumption or prohibited substances. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Monica Dajbog, stated that special attention will be given to places of worship, where participation is estimated to exceed 1.2 million believers.

The largest events will take place in Bucharest, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Baia Mare, Bacău, Miercurea Ciuc, and Sfântul Gheorghe. In Bucharest, the Palm Sunday pilgrimage will attract over 15,000 participants, and temporary traffic restrictions will be imposed for the smooth running of the event. The Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends that citizens exercise caution when using candles and heating sources, stay informed about traffic conditions and weather forecasts, and adhere to safety measures. Additionally, border police forces have been increased at external borders for operational control.
