The activity of the "Ciprian and Iustina" nursing home in Mogoșoaia was suspended after alarming images of the living conditions of the elderly were published on social media. Following these revelations, local authorities, including Mayor Florin Covaci and the prefect of Ilfov County, conducted an unannounced inspection at the nursing home. Unsuitable accommodation conditions were found, which led to the suspension of the nursing home's activity and the revocation of the Sanitary Operating Authorization. The 54 elderly residents were transferred to other social services or taken in by relatives, and three of them required hospitalization.
