The Presidential Administration announced that the President of Romania has signed the appointment decrees for the new magistrates who passed the capacity exam, held between December 2025 and June 2026. They will start their activity on August 1, being assigned to courts and prosecutor's offices in Bucharest and various counties, including Brașov, Ploiești, Craiova, Iași, Timișoara, and Constanța.

The appointment of the new judges and prosecutors aims to fill the vacant positions and strengthen the capacity of the judicial system, which is facing a staff shortage and a large volume of cases. This stage completed by signing the decrees is essential for the integration of the new magistrates into the Romanian judicial system.
