The new Code of land planning, urbanism, and constructions will come into force on August 25, bringing significant changes for constructions in rural areas.

This allows for the construction of small annexes without the need to obtain a building permit, provided that the works comply with the approved urban planning documentation and local regulations. Permitted annexes include garages, covered terraces, pergolas, summer kitchens, kiosks, swimming pools, and sanitary groups, with a total area of up to 50 sqm.

Outdoor constructions up to 20 sqm can be carried out without formalities, having a temporary and removable character. The conditions for carrying out these constructions include access to the own lot, a maximum height of ground floor, and compliance with urban planning regulations. Projects can be standard or individual, according to legal norms. These changes aim to simplify the construction process in rural areas, facilitating its development.
