Google presented the lists of the most popular searches of Romanians in 2025. These indicate the topics and people that generated the most interest in searches in Romania, the most popular events in 2025 for Romanians, what interested them in terms of movies, series, and networks, or what questions they asked themselves.

The presidential elections in the spring had a major impact on the searches of Romanians in 2025. The passing of some public figures into oblivion was another trigger for search peaks. 

Compared to 2024, when sports were at the top of the search rankings, in a year with a European Football Championship and an edition of the Olympic Games, in 2025 politics took first place, after the presidential elections in Romania took place in the spring.

Regarding sports events, only one made it to the top 10, the search related to the FCSB - PAOK match, which ranked 8th.

The champion of Romania faced PAOK, Razvan Lucescu's team, in the playoff for the round of 16 in the Europa League. Both matches took place in February, and FCSB won twice, both in the first leg and in the return leg.
