Andrei Tărnăea, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), addressed the grievances of Romanians who returned from Israel via Egypt, emphasizing that they have the right to criticize the ministry's actions, but the authorities did everything in their power to assist them.
Tărnăea mentioned that repatriation was organized through charter flights, and the tickets were paid for by the passengers, with travel agencies being responsible for organizing them.
He thanked the teams at the Romanian Embassy in Cairo and the travel agencies for their efforts.
Additionally, Tărnăea highlighted that 298 of the repatriates were clients of the agencies, while 9 came on their own, stressing that there was no selection, but a collective effort for their safe return.
