Petre Florin Manole stated that he does not support raising the retirement age above 65, arguing that it is essential for people to have time for personal life and rest. He emphasized that the option to work after this age should exist, but it is not mandatory. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan added that there needs to be a focus on increasing the number of active people in the economy, considering that only 53% of Romanians aged between 55 and 64 are employed.
