Bogdan Cristian-Nica, former manager of the Dr. Constantin Andreoiu Emergency County Hospital in Ploiești, has been sent to trial by DNA prosecutors for bribery and abuse of office, with serious consequences. He is accused of having conducted public procurement of medical equipment at inflated prices between 2021 and 2024, causing a damage of 28,700,705 lei.
Nica allegedly received, on two occasions, the sum of 50,000 lei from B.D.A., the administrator of the company VELMED INTERNATIONAL SRL, a beneficiary of the contracts. Additionally, Iordache Mihăiță-Sorin, an economist at the hospital, is accused of complicity in abuse of office. The hospital has constituted itself as a civil party for the recovery of damages, and precautionary measures have been taken against the assets of the defendants. The indictment has been sent to the Prahova Tribunal for trial.
