The Local Police of the Municipality of Bucharest is conducting checks to ensure the proper clearing of sidewalks by economic agents and homeowners' associations. By noon, 25 fines had been imposed, totaling nearly 44,000 lei, especially in the central area.

The authorities emphasize the importance of quickly clearing the snow, which, if not removed, can turn into ice, causing accidents.

The police have adopted a preventive approach, with lower fines for those who started clearing on the spot.

Additionally, in cases where dangers for pedestrians were identified, the area was isolated, and the support of firefighters was requested.

Checks continue throughout the entire central perimeter of Bucharest.
